TAROT REDUCTION MATRIX

Discover the hidden archetypal connections between every card in the Tarot.

ESOTERIC EXPLANATION

The Tarot Reduction Matrix is a symbolic mapping system that explores hidden numerical relationships between the 78 cards of the Tarot. The system begins by assigning a numerological value to each card based upon its title through the English language of which it was created. Once a card's total value has been calculated, the number is reduced into the Tarot field by subtracting 78 until the result falls within the 1–78 card range.

The resulting number is then matched to another card within the Tarot sequence, creating what is called a Resonance Card. Rather than viewing a Tarot card as a completely isolated archetype, the matrix allows each card to reveal a secondary symbolic connection hidden within its numerical structure.

We will be using this website for our Numerology outputs:

For example, if a card's numerological value equals 128, subtracting 78 produces 50. Card 50 within the Tarot sequence is the King of Cups. In this way, the original card is said to resonate with the King of Cups, creating an additional layer
of interpretation.

Viewed as a whole, the matrix transforms the Tarot from a collection of individual cards into a living network of symbolic connections. Every card possesses both its traditional meaning and its resonance, creating a second layer of interpretation that can be used for meditation, study, personal reflection, and archetypal analysis.
